Korean Beef and Broccoli

When you are looking for a quick and easy weeknight meal, this is a perfect go-to! It is so simple and tastes delicious! It is also great reheated the next day.

Korean Beef and Broccoli

Ingredients
  

  • 1 head broccoli florets
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • water
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • sliced green onions
  • 2 cups cooked white rice

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, sautee broccoli on medium-high heat in 2 Tbsp for a few minutes until it begins to soften. Add water, lower heat and cover, and steam until cooked through, about 5 minutes. Set aside.
  • In the same skillet, brown ground beef with minced garlic. Drain any excess fat.
  • While the beef is browning, whisk the brown sugar, soy sauce, vegetable oil, ginger, red pepper flakes, and pepper in a small bowl.
  • Add broccoli to the beef and pour sauce over beef and broccoli. Let simmer for another 2 minutes.
  • Serve over rice and garnish with green onion slices.
