Korean Beef and Broccoli
Ingredients
- 1 head broccoli florets
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- water
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- ¼ tsp ground ginger
- ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- ¼ tsp pepper
- sliced green onions
- 2 cups cooked white rice
Instructions
- In a large skillet, sautee broccoli on medium-high heat in 2 Tbsp for a few minutes until it begins to soften. Add water, lower heat and cover, and steam until cooked through, about 5 minutes. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, brown ground beef with minced garlic. Drain any excess fat.
- While the beef is browning, whisk the brown sugar, soy sauce, vegetable oil, ginger, red pepper flakes, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Add broccoli to the beef and pour sauce over beef and broccoli. Let simmer for another 2 minutes.
- Serve over rice and garnish with green onion slices.
