1boxbrownie mixincluding ingredients noted on back of box
1¼cupchocolate chips
2cupspowdered sugar
½cupbuttersoftened
1cupcreamy peanut butter
4Tbspbutter
4Tbspmilk
1cupsugar
½cupchocolate chips
Instructions
Grease a 9 X 13 pan and set aside. Make brownie batter according to the instructions on the box. Add 1 cup of chocolate and stir into the batter. Pour into greased pan. Sprinkle ¼ cup o chocolate chips on top of the batter. Bake according to the instructions on the box and set aside to cool completely. (These are great by themselves if you want a regular brownie! The chocolate chips add a little extra richness.)
In a medium sized bowl, mix together the powdered sugar, ½ cup of butter, and peanut butter. Make sure it is completely mixed together and a smooth texture. Once the brownies have cooled, used your hands to spread/pat this over the brownies until it is in one even layer.
Put 4 Tbsp butter, 4 Tbsp milk, and 1 cup sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Let boil for 3 minutes while stirring constantly. Remove this mixture from the heat and add ½ cup of chocolate chips. Stir until smooth. Immediately pour over the peanut butter layer. This hardens fairly fast, so make sure to work quickly. Enjoy!
